Gloria Kasler, Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year, SC - 1995
Raised in the small southern town of Lake View, SC, this Registered Nurse owner has successfully developed some of the most recognized and respected Home Care practices available.
An ICU nurse in the 90's, Kasler expanded her career in home health and eventually owned and operated a successful Medicare practice providing professional home health to Hilton Head Island until 1995. She sold it to a hospital in order to return to the Pee Dee to be close to her aging mother.
After winning numerous awards for her efforts, including "Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year, SC - 1995" as well as "Who's Who" among nurses, she has been recognized as one of the leaders of home care by Merrill-Lynch, Earnst & Young, Inc.500, and Carolina Bank.
Mrs. Kasler not only manages her own business with integrity, she continues to devote a great deal of her time to lobbying efforts that help to support state-funded medical assistance for the financially disadvantaged.
When she can find the time, she loves to play golf and continues to do home visits and enjoys the time she spends with her clients. "That's the real fun of doing this kind of work—I get to meet the people of South Carolina. The clients seem to appreciate developing real relationships with the office staff as well as with the owner and I enjoy them as well."
